Dr. M. A. Wazed Miah who was born on February 7, 1942; in the Bogura district of Bangladesh displayed a keen interest in science at a very young age. His academic journey began at the University of Dhaka,

where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Demonstrating exceptional aptitude, he

continued his education at the same institution, obtaining a Master’s degree in Physics. Fueled by a

desire to deepen his understanding and to enhance his skills in nuclear science and technology, Dr. Miah

moved to the United Kingdom, where he earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of

London. His doctoral research focused on nuclear interactions which served as a cornerstone for his future

contributions to the field.
